Gwyliau yn Ystod y Tymor
Ni fyddwn yn caniatau gwyliau yn ystod y tymor eleni oni bai bod rhieni yn rhannu rehsymau arbennig gyda ni dros gymryd y gwyliau. Nid yw prisiau gwyliau, priodasau na phenblwyddi yn resymau teilwng dros wyliau yn ystod y tymor.
Rydym yn hapus i gydweithio gyda rhieni, felly os oes rheswm eithriadol gennych i gymryd gwyliau yn ystod y tymor cysylllwtch a ni i drafod os gwlewch yn dda.
Mewn rhai achosion mae’n bosib y bydd rhieni yn derbyn Dirwy Hysbysebiad Cosb os yw eu plentyn/plant yn colli ysgol heb reswm digonol.

Dear Parent / Guardian,
Welcome Back
Welcome back to all of our pupils and families and a massive welcome to all the new pupils starting in Nursery and Reception.
Hopefully you all had a fun-packed and relaxing summer and everyone is ready for the busy school year ahead.
IF YOUR CONTACT DETAILS HAVE CHANGED AT ALL DURING THE SUMMER IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU INFORM THE OFFICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Parking
At the end of the school day it is vitally important that all pupils are able to leave the school’s site safely. We kindly ask that parents do not park on the hill going up from the school. This space is reserved for buses and mini-buses that are collecting children. This week pupils have had to walk between cars to get to the buses. This puts pupils and staff at risk. Please work with us to solve this issue.

Classes will be having PE lessons on the following days.

Staff Structure
Since last term we have had a small number of staffing changes which means that we now have different members of staff responsible for different areas of school life. The main changes of importance to you as parents are;
Progress Step 3 Leader – Mrs Meredith – Woods
Mrs Meredith-Woods should be your first point of contact for any issues in Years 4 – 6.
Progress Step 1 and 2 Leader – Miss Bassett
Miss Bassett should be your first point of contact for any issues in nursery, Reception and years 1/2/3.
ALNCO (additional leaning needs co-ordinator – Mrs Rome
As ALNCO Mrs Rome co-ordinates support, in and out of class, for any pupils who find certain areas of the curriculum difficult.
Miss Sheppard will be our Wellbeing Lead. She will co-ordinate any support pupils may need with any aspect of wellbeing.
All members of staff can be contacted by phoning the school’s main office.
Term Time Holidays – Fixed Penalty Notices
We are unable to authorise term time holidays except under exceptional circumstances. Unfortunately, the price of holidays, weddings and birthdays do not count as exceptional circumstances. If you have an exceptional reason for taking your child on holiday during term time please contact the school and we can discuss your request further.
In some cases, a Fixed Penalty Notice can be given to families if children miss school without authorisation. This will only be used at Ysgol Bryn Onnen as a last resort and after discussion with families to try to find another resolution first.
Here are the term dates for the rest of the year.

The best way to do this is by filling the absence form on Schoop.
It is also ok to phone the main office.
