Y Cwricwlwm a Dysgu

The Curriculum and Learning

Cyflwyniad

Introduction

Yn Ysgol Bryn Onnen, ein cenhadaeth yw datblygu plant hyderus, creadigol, gweithgar, unigryw, iach a pharchus trwy gwricwlwm sy’n meithrin profiadau’r byd go iawn a chyfleoedd i hunanfynegiant. Ymdrechwn i gefnogi ein myfyrwyr fel unigolion a chreu atgofion hapus sy’n dathlu eu dysgu. Trwy wrando ar lais ein plant, rydym yn darparu gwersi hwyliog a chyffrous gyda phwrpas clir, gan weithredu fel sbardun a sbarc ar gyfer dysgu parhaus. Credwn mewn cysylltu a rhannu ein profiadau gydag eraill, dysgu tu allan i’r dosbarth, a gweithio fel tîm o fewn ein hysgol a’n cymuned. Rydym yn gwerthfawrogi’r naws a’r iaith Gymraeg ac yn gweithio i’w hyrwyddo o fewn ein cymuned. Ein nod yn y pen draw yw sicrhau bod ein myfyrwyr yn unigolion iach gyda meddylfryd cadarnhaol tuag at eu hunain a'r byd y tu allan. Rydym yn ymdrechu i weithio gyda’n cymuned i wella ein hardal leol a chreu dyfodol gwell i bawb.

At Ysgol Bryn Onnen, our mission is to develop confident, creative, active, unique, healthy, and respectful children through a curriculum that fosters real-world experiences and opportunities for self-expression. We strive to support our students as individuals and create happy memories that celebrate their learning. By listening to the voice of our children, we provide fun and exciting lessons with a clear purpose, acting as a trigger and spark for continued learning. We believe in connecting and sharing our experiences with others, learning outside the classroom, and working as a team within our school and community. We value the Welsh ethos and language and work to promote them within our community. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that our students are healthy individuals with a positive mindset towards themselves and the outside world. We strive to work with our community to improve our local area and create a better future for all.

Meysydd Dysgu a Phrofiad
Areas of Learning and Experience

Mae Cwricwlwm i Gymru yn fframwaith cwricwlwm cenedlaethol newydd arloesol a chyffrous sy’n amlinellu’r profiad addysgol i ddysgwyr ledled Cymru. Wedi’i drefnu o amgylch chwe Maes Dysgu a Phrofiad (MDPh), nod y cwricwlwm yw darparu addysg eang a chytbwys i ddysgwyr sy’n eu paratoi ar gyfer bywyd yn yr 21ain ganrif.

Chwe Maes Dysgu a Phrofiad y Cwricwlwm i Gymru yw celfyddydau mynegiannol, iechyd a lles, y dyniaethau, ieithoedd, llythrennedd a chyfathrebu, mathemateg a rhifedd, a gwyddoniaeth a thechnoleg. Mae pob Maes Dysgu a Phrofiad yn cynnwys ystod o bynciau a disgyblaethau sydd wedi’u cynllunio i annog dysgwyr i ddatblygu eu creadigrwydd, eu dychymyg, a’u sgiliau meddwl yn feirniadol, a’u paratoi ar gyfer byd gwaith a chymdeithas sy’n newid yn gyflym.

At ei gilydd, mae’r Cwricwlwm i Gymru yn gam mawr ymlaen mewn polisi addysg yng Nghymru, gan bwysleisio pwysigrwydd datblygu dysgwyr cyflawn, galluog a gwydn sy’n barod i ymgymryd â heriau’r byd modern. Trwy ddarparu profiad addysgol cyfoethog ac amrywiol i ddysgwyr sy’n cwmpasu ystod eang o bynciau a sgiliau, nod y cwricwlwm yw ysbrydoli dysgwyr, annog chwilfrydedd a chreadigedd, a’u harfogi â’r wybodaeth a’r sgiliau sydd eu hangen arnynt i ffynnu yn yr 21ain ganrif.

The Curriculum for Wales is an innovative and exciting new national curriculum framework that outlines the educational experience for learners across Wales. Organized around six Areas of Learning and Experience (AoLEs), the curriculum aims to provide learners with a broad and balanced education that prepares them for life in the 21st century.

The six AoLEs of the Curriculum for Wales are expressive arts, health and well-being, humanities, languages, literacy, and communication, mathematics and numeracy, and science and technology. Each AoLE includes a range of subjects and disciplines that are designed to encourage learners to develop their creativity, imagination, and critical thinking skills, and to prepare them for the rapidly changing world of work and society.

Overall, the Curriculum for Wales represents a major step forward in education policy in Wales, emphasizing the importance of developing well-rounded, capable, and resilient learners who are ready to take on the challenges of the modern world. By providing learners with a rich and varied educational experience that encompasses a broad range of subjects and skills, the curriculum aims to inspire learners, encourage curiosity and creativity, and equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the 21st century.

Ymgyfraniad Rhieni
Parental Involvement

Yn Ysgol Bryn Onnen, credwn fod addysg yn bartneriaeth rhwng myfyrwyr, athrawon, a rhieni. Rydym yn dymuno creu amgylchedd sy'n meithrin cariad at ddysgu ac yn annog rhieni i ymwneud ag addysg eu plentyn. Credwn fod rhieni yn bartneriaid gwerthfawr yn nhaith ddysgu eu plentyn, ac ymdrechwn i greu cyfleoedd iddynt ymgysylltu ag addysg eu plentyn. Ein nod yw darparu cyfathrebu rheolaidd gyda rhieni, trwy nosweithiau agored, cynadleddau rhieni-athrawon, ac offer digidol, i'w hysbysu am gynnydd eu plentyn a'r cyfleoedd sydd ar gael i gefnogi eu dysgu. Rydym hefyd yn annog rhieni i gymryd rhan weithredol yn addysg eu plentyn trwy gymryd rhan mewn digwyddiadau ysgol, gwirfoddoli, a chefnogi dysgu eu plentyn gartref. Yn Ysgol Bryn Onnen, rydym yn gwerthfawrogi ac yn croesawu cyfraniadau rhieni i’n cymuned ysgol ac yn credu, trwy gydweithio, y gallwn greu amgylchedd dysgu cynhaliol a chynhwysol sy’n cwrdd ag anghenion pob plentyn.

At Ysgol Bryn Onnen, we believe that education is a partnership between students, teachers, and parents. We wish to create an environment that fosters a love of learning and encourages parents to get involved with their child's education. We believe that parents are valuable partners in their child's learning journey, and we strive to create opportunities for them to engage with their child's education. Our aim is to provide regular communication with parents, through open evenings, parent-teacher conferences, and digital tools, to keep them informed about their child's progress and the opportunities available to support their learning. We also encourage parents to take an active role in their child's education by participating in school events, volunteering, and supporting their child's learning at home. At Ysgol Bryn Onnen, we value and welcome parents' contributions to our school community and believe that by working together, we can create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of every child.
