Ysgol Bryn Onnen presented with a defibrillator

As you know we have been raising money this year to purchase a defibrillator for the school. We have been very fortunate to run into an amazing lady called June Thomas whose son Jack died about 5 years ago in Blackwood Comp. A defibrillator could have saved his life. June was since worked tirelessly to set up a charity called Jack's Appeal with the purpose of getting defibrillators into schools. Today June and a gentleman called Nair from Welsh Hearts presented the school with a brand new defibrillator. This was a donation from Jack's Appeal  and we have forwarded some of the money raised  to the charity. We will continue to raise money for Jack's Appeal throughout the course of the rest of the year so that a complete cheque can be given at the end of this academic year. we are extremely grateful to June and to Nair for presenting the school with a defibrillator today. Parents and pupils can access more information about the charity on www.rememberingjack.com or www.welshhearts.com/jacksappeal .
