Snow Update Monday 21st January 2013 @ 1 p.m.

Dear Parent / Guardian,
Barring a nightmare overnight Ysgol Bryn Onnen will be OPEN tomorrow!  We are indebted to Steve Warman for brining his JCB to clear to lanes / pavements into the school as well as clearing the front end staff car park at the school.

As a school we also hired a mini digger to clear the lanes / pavents and to do the back end of the staff car park. This measn that most cars will be able to park away from the school gate in the morning.

Mrs Hancock and her family, as well as Mrs Nutt and her son have continued to help clear pathways around the school.  We are very grateful to everyone above for pulling out the stops to make sure we are open tomorrow. HOWEVER! Please be warned of a weather alert overnight and I will continue to inform parents on way or another if we are open / closed tomorrow. If things stay as they are we will be open! It if does snow overnight and we have to stay closed then I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

You as parents still need to be careful in dropping children off tomorrow. Keep speed to a minimum and allow more time for journey so that every parent can drop children off safely. Please also heed any advice given by staff members out on roadside duty in the morning. If they ask you to don anything then please do it.

For bus children please tell your child to walk sensibly into the school in the morning - no running / skidding / throwing snow etc. As a disclaimer the school will not be held responsible if these points are not adhered to.

Once again, my thanks to everyone who has worked tirelessly at the school yesterday and today.

To all parents and guardians - thank you for your patience with the situation, it has been very much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Mr. Parry
