re-opening

4.1.2021

Dear parents,

I'm sure many of you will have heard this evening's announcement by Welsh Government that the opening of primary schools is now being delayed until the 18th of January.

As schools we are receiving this information from news channels in the same way as you are which makes it difficult for us to plan and keep you as parents informed.

The majority of pupils will therefore continue online learning until Monday the 18th. There will be staff in school from Wednesday so if anyone is having difficulty accessing online learning please contact the school and staff will be able to help you with forgotten passwords or technical problems. I understand it is difficult but please encourage your children to take part in online earning so that when we open all pupils will be able to carry on with topics that they have started at home. If your child(ren) find a task difficult please encourage them to ask their teachers for support. All staff fully understand the difficulties of learning from home and we genuinely appreciate the effort put in by parents and children.

I expect to hear more details from Torfaen tomorrow and will share these with you as quickly as possible.

Kind regards

Rhys ap Gwyn
