Cyhoeddiad heddiw gan y Gweinidog Addysg
Annwyl rieni,
Rwy’n siwr fod pawb yn ymwybodol o’r cyhoeddiad wnaethwyd yn gynharach yng nghylch ail-agor ysgolion yn llawn ym mis Medi.
Dydy hyn ddim yn golygu y bydd pob dim fel ag yr oedd ym mis Mawrth; bydd nifer o fesurau iechyd a diogelwch mewn lle er mwyn cadw pob un ohonom yn ddiogel.
Mae nifer o gyfarfodydd rhwng penaethiaid a Thorfaen wedi eu trefnu ar gyefr yr wythnos nesaf ac mae mwy o arweiniad i ddod o’r llywodaraeth.
Ymysyg y pethau i drafod fydd;
Trafnidiaeth i’r ysgol
A fydd cinio ysgol ar gael
Sut mae cadw disgyblion a rhieni arwahan ar y ffordd i ac o’r ysgol
Sut fydd cadw grwpiau o blant ar wahan yn ystod y dydd
Mae’r profiad o baratoi ar gyfer y cyfnod yma wedi dangos taw y penderfyniadau sydd angen cydlynu ag asiantaethau allanol sydd yn cymryd hiraf.
Today’s announcement by the Education Minister
Dear parents,
I’m sure you will all be aware of the Minister’s announcement earlier today. As of September 1st, schools will be moving back to a full timetable.
This doesn’t mean thing will be returning quite back to normal; a number of hygiene and social distancing measures will still be in place to keep all of us safe.
A number of meeting between headteachers and Torfaen are planned for early next week and at the same time Welsh Government will be providing more detailed guidance.
Here are somethings that we will be discussing in those meetings before we can share more detailed plans with you as parents;
How to stagger the safe arrival and departure of pupils at the school?
School transport
Will the canteen be open for school meals?
How to keep groups of pupils apart during the day?
Will breakfast clubs and after school clubs (i.e. Clwb Carco) be running?
From experience of planning for this three week period, planning for what happens at Ysgol Bryn Onnen is fairly easy, planning the broader matters that need co-ordinating with other agencies takes longer.
Please don’t be surprised if some details from Torfaen are still being updated during the holiday.
Please note; An update will follow on the date of the first day back for pupils. We have been informed of “planning and preparation days” but not told how many and when.
Ideally the planning and preparation days will be September 1st and 2nd, with pupils returning on Thursday, September 3rd as planned previously.
Yr eiddoch yn gywir/ Yours sincerely
Rhys ap Gwyn
