Return of Key Stage 2 pupils to school
Annwyl rieni,
Bydd disgyblion Cyfnod Allweddol 2 yn dychwelyd i’r ysgol ar Fawrth y 15ed. Rydym yn gyffrous iawn i fod yn croesawu pob disgybl yn ol i’r ysgol. Bydd y drefn ddyddiol yn debyg i’r hyn y profodd y plant cyn y Nadolig. Bydd dau fesur ychwanegol; bydd staff yn cael eu profi ddwy waith pob wythnos a bydd oedolion yn gwisgo mygdau o gwmpas yr adeilad – gan gynnwys yn y dosbarthiadau, Byddwn yn gwneud trefniadau ar gyfer disgyblion sydd an wan eu clyw i sicrhau nad ydynt yn colli unrhyw ran o’r cwricwlwm.
Gwisg ysgol
Rydym yn disgwyl i bawb wisgo gwisg ysgol pan yn dychwelyd i’r ysgol. Bydd ychydig o hyblygrwydd yn y dyddiau cynfat os yw plentyn wedi tyfu yn rhy fawr i wisg ysgol ac mae oedi wrth gyrchu gwisg newydd.
Trafnidiaeth ysgol
Bydd y cwmni bysiau yn rhedeg yr un gwasanaethau ag arfer o Fawrth y 15ed. Bydd y plant yn cael eu casglu o’r arosfanau arferol ar yr amseroedd arferol.
Cinio ysgol
Dim ond brechdanau fydd y neuadd ginio yn paratoi yn yr bythefnos gyntaf. Gall plant gael brechdanau o’r neuadd neu ddod a brechdanau gyda nhw. Bydd y plant i gyd yn bwyta eu cinio yn y dosabrth er mwyn lleihau ar y symud o gwmpas y safle.
Prydau ysgol am ddim
Mi fydd taliadau prydau am ddim yn gorffen ar ddydd Gwener y 12ed o Fawrth. O ddydd Llun Mawrh y 15ed bydd prydau yn cael eu darparu o’r gegin i blant sydd yn derbyn prydau ysgol am ddim.
Clwb Brecwast a Clwb Carco
Ni fydd Clwb Brecwast a Clwb Carco yn ail-gychwyn tan ar ol Y Pasg.
Dechrau y dydd
Gall rhieni ddisgyn eu plant wrth y gat rhwng 8 55 a 9 10. Bydd y plant yn cerdded yn syth i eu dosbarthiadau. Nid oes modd rhoi amser gwahanol i bob dosbarth oherwydd fod cymaint o ein plant yn dod i’r ysgo ar y bws.
Diwedd y dydd
Byddwn yn cerdded y plant i’r neuadd gymuned i gwrdd a rhieni. Byd pob dosbarth yn dod yn y drefn isod. Dewch ymlaen i’r ardal ddiogel tu fewn y conau i gasglu eich plant. Cofiwch fod cyfyngiadau covid yn dal mewn lle. Ni ddylai plant a rhieni o wahanol aelwydydd fo dyn cyfarfod y tu allan i’r ysgol.

Diogelwch Covid
Mae gorsafoedd glanhau dwylo ymhob dosbarth ac yn y coridorau ac hefyd dwr cynnes a sebon.
Mae glanhau mannau allweddol megis drysau a thai bach yn digwydd yn ystod y dydd.
Ni fydd staff yn symud rhwng dosbarthaidau oni bai bod argyfwng. Golyga hyn na fydd rhai sesiynau ymyrraeth un i un neu mewn grwpiau bach yn digwydd am y tro.
Os yw eich plentyn yn arddangos unrhyw symptomau Covid-19 yna dylech eu cadw adref o’r ysgol a threfnu prawf iddynt.
Dear parents,
Key Stage 2 pupils will be returning to school on Monday, March 15th. We are very much looking forward to welcoming the children back and returning to some sort of routine in school. School will be very similar to what it was before Christmas. The two extra control measures that have been put in place are that staff are tested for Coronavirus twice every week and all adults will be wearing masks inside the school building where social distancing isn’t possible. With the small number of pupils we have with hearing difficulties plans will be put in place to ensure they are able to hear clearly and access every part of their lessons.
School uniform
We ask that all pupils wear school uniform when they return. In the first few days we will show some flexibility where children have grown out of their uniform and parents are waiting for new ones to arrive.
School transport
As of March 8th school transport will be running as usual. Pupils will be picked up from their usual stops at the usual times.
School dinners
For the next two weeks the canteen will be running a reduced service. They will only be preparing packed lunches. All pupils will eat their lunches in class to reduce movement around the school and contact between bubbles.
The canteen will be operating a more normal service with hot meals after Easter.
Free School Meals
Payments to parents for free school meals end this week. As of Monday, March 15th eligible pupils will be provided with free school meals in the canteen.
Breakfast Club and Clwb Carco
Both Breakfast Club and Clwb Carco will be closed until Easter. We plan to have both up and running from April 12th.
Start of the school day
Parents can drop off their children between 8 55 and 9 10. There is no way of staggering this as many of our children come by bus. Pupils will walk straight to their classes. We kindly ask that parents/guardians drop their children and then leave. Please do not congregate at the school gate.
End of the school day
We will bring the children up to the community centre to hand over to parents. Each class will come one at a time. Please come forward to collect your child when called. Parents are allowed to enter the coned area outside the community centre but please move back after collecting your child so that other parents can safely collect their children and keep a safe distance.
We ask that all parents wear a face covering when collecting their children (unless medically exempt).

At 3 30 pupils travelling by bus will leave.
We ask that parents leave after collecting their children. Please remember that Government still have restrictions in place on how many bubbles are allowed to mix.
Covid precautions
There are hand sanitising stations in every class room and in the corridors as well as soap and water.
Touch points and toilets are cleaned during the school day.
Staff won’t be moving between classes. Staff who usually give one to one support or small group support will be staying in one class. This will impact on the support sessions some pupils receive. Currently the focus is on safety as pupils return. Hopefully, as infection rates lower and Covid is less prevalent in the community, we will be able to re-start these sessions.
If your child has any coronavirus symptoms – a fever, new and continuous cough or loss of taste or smell it is very important that you do not send them to school. Arrange for them to be tested at one of the walk in test centres in Torfaen.
Yr eiddoch yn gywir/ Yours sincerely
