Christmas Concert Details

NB The following information restates the information given in the last 5 newsletters:-

There will be three performances in total- all at the Workingmen’s Hall in Blaenavon. The first we be at 6.00 p.m. on Tuesday the 11th of December. The second performance will be at 1.00 p.m. on Wednesday the 12th of December. The third and final performance will be at 6.00 p.m. on Wednesday the 12th of December.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: On Tuesday the 11th of December children will be going over to the Workingmen’s Hall in Blaenavon to practice for the Christmas show. On Wednesday the 12th of December children will again be going to the Workingmen’s Hall to give their second official performance of the Christmas show. Buses have been arranged to take the children over to Blaenavon on both these days. However, buses will not be taking the children back to school on these days. School transport buses will instead collect children from the Workingmen’s Hall on these two days and NOT from the school. We kindly ask that parents who usually collect their children from school at the end of the day to do so from Blaenavon Workingmen’s Hall on the 11thand the 12th of December. Finally, I kindly ask all parents to make sure that their children are present for all three performances, and not just for performances that you have tickets for. Christmas concerts can be an expensive affair and everyone wants full attendance from the children so that ALL parents can enjoy a show that’s to high standard.

For all evening performances of the Christmas shows we would like the children to come to the Workingmen’s Hall by 5:30 p.m. If you do not have anyone seeing your child on stage that night then please collect him or her at 7 p.m. It’s vital that every child is present at every performance and we thank you for your cooperation with this

. Nursery and Reception children however will leave the stage after they have performed. Parents can collect these children then and either take them home or supervise them whilst the Junior children perform their shows. It’s a very long time for 3 years olds to have to wait. School staff will look after Year 1 and 2 pupils until the very end to ensure that Junior children also have a good audience in terms of numbers. Thank you.
