Annwyl rieni,
Fel y clywsoch bydd ysgolion Cymru yn cau o brynhawn Gwener ymlaen.
Fel y nodwyd ddoe dydd pecyn gwaith a llyfrau yn cael eu danfon adref gyda’ch plant. Os nad yw eich plant yn yr ysgol ar hyn o bryd, gallwch gasglu y pecynau o’r ysgol brynhawn Gwener.
Mae’n anneglur ar hyn o bryd am ba hyd y bydd ysgolion yng nghau. Bydd athrawon yn rhannu mwy o waith a dsigyblion wrth i amser fynd ymlaen. Bydd Cyfnod Allweddol 2 yn gwneud hyn trwy Hwb a’r Cyfnod Sylfane trwy Class Dojo a Seesaw.
Mae y math o waith aellir dosbarthu ar lein yn gyfyngiedig ac mae’n bosib hefyd y bydd cyfyngiadau ar yr offer sydd ar gael yn eich cartef.
Bydd athrawon yn gallu rhoi peth adborth i blant – ond cofiwch fod 30 ymhob dosbarth, wi-fi yn gryfach mewn rhai llefydd nac eraill a gall athrawon ei hunain fod yn sal.
Peidiwch teimlo o dan bwysau i gwblhau tasg. Os nad ydych yn deal tasg, ewch ymlaen i’r un nesaf.
Mae’r wybodaeth sydd wrth law hyd yma yn nodi y bydd darpariaeth ar gael I weithwyr allweddol ar safle rhai ysgolion. Prin yw’r manylion am hyn hyd yma – pan ddaw mwy o wybodaeth byddwn yn rhannu yn syth gyda rhieni.
Mae hon yn sefyllfa unigryw a ddyrus i ni gyd. Byddwch y amyneddgar gan y gallai fod rhai man-drafferthion wrth i ni ddechrau gweithio fel hyn.
Mi fyddaf ar gael trwy ebost yr ysgol os oes unrhyw broblemau.
Dear parents,
I’m sure you will all have heard or read the announcement from the Cabinet Secretary for Education this afternoon.
Schools across Wales will be closing from Friday.
As was stated in yesterday’s letter packs of work and books to work in will be sent home with children. If your children aren’t currently in school they can be collected from school between 1 30 and 3 30 on Friday, March 20th
It is unknown at the moment for how long this closure lasts. Teachers will be providing additional work as the closure continues. We will be doing this via Hwb for Key Stage 2 and Class Dojo and Seesaw for Foundation Phase.
There is a limit to the type of work we can set online. Also you may be restricted by the material available at home and how much movement in and out of your home you are able to make.
Teachers will be able to give some feedback to pupils and using Hwb Key Stage 2 pupils will be able to collaborate on some tasks. Bear in mind however that there are 30 children in most classes, wi-fi in some areas are better than others and teachers themselves may become ill. So please be patient.
Please don’t feel any pressure regarding the work we are sending home. If you or your children don’t understand a task, leave it and move on to the next one.
The information we have so far says there will be some child-care provision available at “selected school sites” for those key workers who will be so badly needed over the coming weeks. As this news is very fresh there are no details of how, yet.
Dermot McChrystal, the Head of Education Services, will email schools outlining how this will look by midday tomorrow – I will share this information with you immediately.
This is an unique situation for all of us, please be patient as there may be some teething issues as we start working in this fashion. I will have access to the school email address when working from home so I will be able to respond to parents – wi-fi allowing (during working hours).
Yr eiddoch yn gywir/ Yours sincerely
Rhys ap Gwyn
